Do I need to know anything about crypto to get started?

Does MakaPay hold my money?
Never. Every payment settles directly to your wallet address the moment it clears. MakaPay doesn't hold funds, doesn't require withdrawals, and has no float period. What your customer sends is what arrives in your wallet.
What if a customer makes a mistake: wrong amount, wrong network?
If you have a Gas Tank balance, MakaPay can recover funds from most payment errors: underpayments, wrong tokens, or wrong chain. The Gas Tank covers the recovery cost and routes the funds back to you in the same token, on the same network the customer paid. You then choose to accept the payment or refund the customer. Without a Gas Tank, recovery is still possible but requires manual support.
